At KSR Freight Forwarders Pvt. Ltd, one of the mottos of the brands is to keep on working. This focus on work ethic has made it one of the leading freight forwarders and custom house agents based in Chennai. They are members of Federation of Freight Forwarders Association in India and have specialized in handling readymade garments, made ups, home furnishing, carpets and Brass wears. Their influence is everywhere, as they’ve made a unique proposition of their business via focus on hard work and dedication.

Early life lessons–

What started as a career in a company into CHA in 1974, ended up being the biggest teacher of life lessons for Mr. S. Krishnamurthy. With great efforts and after facing battles all his life, he was able to build K.S.R. after more than 30 years of hard work and patience.

Certifications and awards –

Working with some of the largest companies in India, KSR has been certified by the IATA, CCBA, FFI, AMTOI & 5Star Logistics Network. They are one of the key members in the High-Level committee of CHBA and have been frequently positioned as one of the top logistics service providers in the country. Quality is also ensured across all stages of processing. KSR has well-experienced employees that, under Mr. S. Krishnamurthy’s leadership, have ensured that all documentation and customs analysis fall under noted purview. Timelines are always stuck to and customers are treated as top priority in the organization.

The long road ahead –

One of the major problems early on was that there were many overseas companies started their CHA business in India. They were trying to develop their business by campaigning for larger contracts and creating larger barriers for new entrants. Exporters and importers faced the brunt of the change, and KSR also faced many challenges. The company had to take extra efforts to retain all their customers and they strived to create a good rapport with most of them. Now these competitors have become their partners and allies in facing tougher challenges from incoming companies.
There were also challenges with transport strikes early on and they faced massive backlash on overdue orders. What they did was ingenious. They took 5 buses on rent and moved the Cargo from Chennai airport to CFS and from warehouse to Airport. This incident, along with many others, is testament to the work ethics of KSR’s leadership team.

Going high-tech–

What’s helped KSR battle it out in this tough industry is their unwavering focus on technology. Since the industry has multiple players that are fighting for margins, KSR never hesitates to introduce new technology solutions that aid in the enhancement of quality. Training is another core element of enhancing the overall proposition of the brand.
