Ltd, uses advanced software and technology along with the Yard Management System in his projects. All his shipping trailers have GPS embedded in them and this has ensured hassle-free trips and increased safety in the shipping and logistics system. A journey through rough waters-
When Mr. Kusumodar first started out, he realized that he wasn't in the best position to start a company. Firstly, the industry was quite mature, which meant that competition would be higher and profit margins would be lower. Secondly, since he was already in his late 40s, he understood that it would be difficult for him to keep up with some of his younger colleagues. However, he refused to listen to the naysayers as well as the practical voice in his head and he went full steam ahead and established Bhavani Shipping in 2007.
Awards galore-
Within a span of 10 years, Bhavani Shipping has grown into a full logistics service provider. Along with earning many accolades, there were multiple awards presented to the brand during its tenure. In the year 2015, EXIM India felicitated Bhavani Shipping with the “Fastest Growing Logistics Company of the Year” award. This was followed by yet another prestigious recognition by the Indian Maritime Awards, crowning Mr. Kusumodar with “Logistics Professional of the Year 2016”. More recently, in the 2017 India Maritime Awards ceremony, Daily Shipping Times announced Bhavani Group as the “Logistics Company of the Year” while recognizing the growth and contribution Bhavani Shipping has made in the Shipping and Logistics Industry. Winning back to back awards is no mean feat, yet Mr. Kusumodar continues to bag all these accolades and more.
Mr. Kusumodar journeys full steam ahead–
Mr. Kusumodar’s transition from employee to business owner turned out well for him, but the path wasn't always clear. He knew that he had the domain knowledge and expertise to carry forward a company of his own, but growth was slow early on. The company was established in the year 2007 as an Empty Container Depot Operator and Transporter with 2 x 40’ trailer in Nhava Sheva. They gradually expanded further, concentrating hard on quality and service. Mr. Kusumodar always focused on the merits of hard work and ensured that his multi-national growth would not come in the way of delayed shipments. His vision and focus led the company into becoming one of the fastest growing players in the ocean shipping industry.

The ocean shipping industry is almost solely responsible for the success of many businesses around the world. It has single-handedly revolutionized the dynamics of the trade, brought the world closer, improved relationships and strengthened alliances between nations. Ocean shipping has seen significant growth over the last 4-5 years and the industry continuous to grow by leaps and bounds. However, like several other industries, supply exceeds demand which can make this field difficult to survive in. Profits can sometimes be low due to new competition entering the industry.
