Logistic Integrators – Growing the team together
"True success is to make your team grow, and then see them become successful in their personal and professional life.”
Focusing on the customer–
While providing end-to-end logistics of Air freight & Ocean freight across all metros and gateways of India, Logistic Integrators has become a force to reckon with over the past few years. Growing at 12% YoY (CAGR), Mr. Sunil Krishnan, Managing Director of Logistic Integrators, believes in sweat equity and the rewards of hard work. Along with differentiating his services, Mr. Sunil wanted to ensure that the company specializes in temperature controlled Pharma logistics, Heavy lifts and Break bulk project logistics as well as allied services like special packaging, customs and transportation. This, along with other key customer-centric initiatives, has helped them stand out effectively in the market place.
A journey that paid off –
Along with Mr. Sunil Krishnan, the founder-promoter team were first gen entrepreneurs and therefore they had to learn everything on the go. There was nothing available to them that their competition didn’t already have and that made them realize the value of hard work and quality service. They were a very hands-on and committed team who believed and trusted in the brand’s vision. They’ve struggled their way to the top and have reaped the benefits of that journey multifold. What’s interesting is that they each had the financial support of their family members despite hailing from middle-class backgrounds.
Awards and Merits–
Logistic Integrators have had several recognitions and appreciations from trade groups and customers. They won the “Shooting Star Award” during the LINK Global Meet held at Germany for being the fastest growing company among 60 global partners. What was even more surprising for Mr. Sunil was that they won this award within 3 years of starting their business.
Emerging successful in uncharted territory–
Mr. Sunil had a clear vision for Logistic Integrators from its inception, but he learnt soon enough that he would have to revise his core strategy to suit market needs. About 80% of the original strategy had to undergo changes within the first few months and he faced multiple challenges in terms of customer acquisition, man-power and cash-flow along with issues related to early growth. However, Mr. Sunil’s power in his own belief and conviction in his abilities helped him through tough times despite the challenges that were thrown his way.
Evolution of the industry -
As the trend shifts from brick and mortar to e-commerce, the logistics industry is also moving towards this arena. There is a lot of untapped scope, owing to this innovation, in the industry. However, one of the biggest challenge, especially in the Indian context, is that the industry leans more towards unorganized players. The reliance on such players creates a challenge in attracting the right investment which is needed for building world class structures and delivery systems. Knowledge and value creation is another grey area which needs urgent attention from the industry players, according to Mr. Sunil.
Shiksha (CSR) –
“Shiksha” is an initiative taken by Logistic Integrators, the aim of which is to support the education of about 30 students who are economically weak. They have also adopted a tribal school in their local area and their idea is to draw children to schools early on so that each child from that village gets educated.
