The India SME Forum is India’s largest Not For Profit Initiative for Small & Medium Business. Formed in May 2011, with the objective to propel a Small and Medium Business Movement across the country, our aim was to provide a voice to small and medium entrepreneurs, wilting under the non entrepreneur friendly policies of the then dispensation, and to support and recognise innovative, globally competitive, SMEs in India. Starting out with 400 members in 2011, today we have over 76,000+ MSMEs as members, 270+ Sectoral & Regional Associations as Supporters and 35 major banks, corporations & organizations as partners. We have been at the forefront of demanding a radical change in the way our country is led. We are committed to a paradigm shift in the mindset of the people of our country, towards its entrepreneurs. We can feel a huge excitement in the next generation of entrepreneurs, and the MSME sector, India's Second largest Employment provider, which was feeling neglected and ignored, has renewed their faith in the possibilities and opportunities, opening up. Nirvana was setup as a corporation in 2005 as a follow up to a not for profit organisation started in 1999 by a group of media enthusiasts, investors, celebrities and executives. The organisation worked in the aftermath of the Industry status conferred in 1998, on the hitherto unrecognised Film and TV production sector in India, promoting and jettisoning the era of business intelligence, transparency, financial management, international distribution and monetising the various avenues traditionally the realm of a few big production and distribution houses. Nirvana Motion Pictures Limited, started working in the filmed entertainment space by launching its B2B portal & magazine, graduating on to organising film conferences, festivals and awards apart from distributing Indian content to markets worldwide and brining international content to India. The India international Film Convention or IIFC, the Achievers of the Year Awards, Cinema & TV Explorer Magazine and The Foundation Film Festival of Oscar Winners and International Award winning cinema were all path breaking initiatives undertaken by NMPL. The Company went further to invest and produce in small budget socially and culturally relevant content both for a discerning audience in India as well as in the international Art House scene. Nirvana has line produced various forms of content for international broadcast and film houses including SABC, TV NZ, Channel 4, BBC, ZDTV and Rai Tv to name a few. The company has media associations for advertorials and content with Bloomberg TV, NDTV, Zee News group among others. Nirvana Motion Pictures Ltd, further co-produced India’s first Official Co production with Italy, Gangor, a path breaking film, opening in competition at the Rome international Film Festival and invited to 19 International film festivals while winning 14 International and National awards including Best Actors, Best Director and Best Film at the New Jersey Intl Film Festival, the Lino Broka Grand Jury Award at CineManila 2011, the NETPAC Award 2011 at the Third Eye 10th Asian Film Festival Mumbai 2011, Best Director Award at London Asian Film Festival and the UNESCO Award at Busto Arsizio Film Festival (Italy) 2012. Nirvana has four divisions. The Filmed Infotainment Division, the foundation of the company, is currently working on 3 international co productions and various filmed initiatives for national and international companies apart from a long list of satisfied customers for its Audio Visual productions and films. The Marketing & Distribution Division, 'BusinessWISE' continues to invest, promote, market and distribute socially relevant cinema apart from working with various small and medium corporates for branding and marketing. Nirvana has an exclusive events division 'Out Of The BOX' which caters to MICE execution for a long list of corporate houses and organisations apart from conducting its own properties.
